Here at Apple Inc, we have always strived to be the greatest in what we do through our Mission/Vision and values here. We are a firm believer that creating a fun and safe work environment is a key to success. As all of you may already know, it has come to our attention that there have been issues with TruTite Inc, who is one of our major suppliers overseas. At TruTite, they have been operating with poor working conditions with employees, ranging from using child labor, paying their employees low wages, working long days with nor overtime and with no benefits.
As you all know, we at Apple stay true to our values and strive to treat everybody equally and be an equal opportunity employer. We do not tolerate this type of activity and I apologize for not paying closer attention to them. This not only hurts their credibility and reputation, but it also does not look good on us. We have always held a high standard of working conditions; ensuring your safety and joy fo working here. So, we have come to a conclusion that we are going to terminate our relationship and contract with TruTite Inc because we have a zero tolerance policy here when it comes to treating employees poorly.
Again, we do apologize for this event and to ensure that this never happens again with one of our suppliers, we will take every precautionary measure there is to cover all of our bases. The public or media do not know of this event yet, so please keep this confidential. We cannot keep it from them for long, so lets start working together and figuring out the steps and best approach to address this event that occurred to the public and media.
