With the advances in technology we have studied in course, there seems to be a significant opportunity for IT to impact the costs of delivering healthcare. There are many challenges to making quality healthcare available across the country whether in urban or rural areas. As an example, the need to transport patients from nursing homes and assisted living to hospitals or even doctor's offices to be "evaluated and treated" would seem to be an opportunity for telemedicine to address.
Create a 4 page paper, discuss what you see as the opportunity and challenges of expanding telehealth. Remember to discuss the opportunity (challenges, competition, demand, etc.), the challenges (privacy, security, etc), and what you think the IT environment would be like and who would manage it.
