Assignment:
Using the saying, "every student wants to learn", what do you do when other barriers prevent a student from showing this?
For example, a student who has not had much success in education may become satisfied or at least show that they like being considered a poor student so that they do not have the increased expectations. Other students may not be a family or even group of peers where education is considered important and therefore might be hesitant to put forth much effort in the classroom.
How do you suggest we approach these students and do our best to change their perspective?
