Social conflicts between natives and immigrants are higher in local communities, and these tensions are frequently framed by media narratives that highlight ethnic disparities. Many immigrants face discrimination and racism, which can lead to social segregation.
Mexican immigration is a controversial matter in politics. The rights and security of immigrants have been impacted by changes made under several administrations and by policies like Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), which have changed dramatically over time. Instead of recognizing immigrants' contributions, political discussion frequently reduces them by characterizing them as a responsibility.
Additionally, Mexican immigrants are particularly impacted by border security measures and immigration enforcement, which frequently cause family separations and foster a fear-based environment in immigrant communities. A cycle of inequality continues when the political debate around immigration frequently ignores the underlying causes of migration, which include economic disparities, violence, and a lack of opportunities in the home economies.

I was exposed to several cultures while growing up in a diverse environment, which helped me develop awareness for diversity. But I also saw instances of discrimination and the difficulties that immigrant families experience.
