Assignment task:
Initial Post: Review Bronfrenbrenner's Ecological Systems Theory of Human Development. Find 2 people from cultures other than your own and spend some time discussing their upbringing. Touch on who raised them (parents, siblings, extended family, etc.) how they were disciplined, family structures, compare this to your own upbringing, make sure you give information about your culture (ex. from southern US, Buddhist from China, etc.) and some detail about your background. Then compare and contrast enculturation in families from all 3 (the other two cultures plus your own) perspectives using at least 2 of the 5 systems in Bronfrenbrenner's framework and terminology (chronosystem, exosystem, microsystem etc.) to guide your forum.
