Assignment Task:
Students will complete a review and analysis of a peer-reviewed journal article in APA style. The four journal articles (PDF format) are in the Assignment Section of our Canvas Course. Students will choose one of the following four approved journal articles to review for this assignment: Need Assignment Help?
- Morese, R, & Palermo, S. (2022). Feelings of loneliness and isolation: Social brain and social cognition in the elderly and Alzheimer's disease. Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience, 14. 1-10.
- Rivera-Lares, K., Logie, R., Baddeley, A., & Della Sala, S. (2022). Rate of Forgetting Is Independent of Initial Degree of Learning. Memory & Cognition, 50(8), 1706-1718.
- Stella, M. (2022). Cognitive network science for understanding online social cognitions: A brief review. Topics in Cognitive Science, 14(1), 143-162.
- Vernucci, S., Canet-Juric, L., & Richard M. M. (2023). Effects of working memory training on cognitive and academic abilities in typically developing school-age children. Psychological Research, 87(1), 308-326
Choose one of the four articles above and write a critical review and analysis. It should include a title page, 3-4 pages body of the assignment, and a reference page in APA style describing the article's hypotheses, methods, results, and conclusions. See the resources and suggested outline under the Module for Week 5 to help you understand the expectations of an article review and analysis.
- Title page, 3-4 page assignment (body of your assignment), a reference list in APA format, 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, and one-inch margins on each side.
- Include in-text citations for your sources based on APA Publication Manual (7th Ed) and a separate APA style references page in APA Publication Manual (7th Ed).
- You must cite at least two scholarly resources, your textbook, and your chosen article. You may incorporate additional peer-reviewed scholarly resources. No website resources may be used. Make sure that each reference is cited in your text.
- Conversely, each citation in your text must have a corresponding reference.
- Your submitted assignment will consist of the title page, 3-4 pages of text (to include an introductory paragraph and closing summary paragraph, and a references page at a minimum.
