1. Think of a piece of research in the field of education and international development which you have found interesting. What sort of individual or institution has it originated from? Where could it be located in terms of approach and methodology?
2. Where would you locate your own research/project? Can you think of how it might be conducted with a different approach? What would the advantages and disadvantages to different approaches be? Could you change the approach but keep the same research questions?
3. Are any of the research approaches discussed in this chapter likely to have a greater impact on development assistance than others? Why?
