Research the child abuse and the affects it have on children

Assignment:

1. Data presentation is an essential part of all academic work, business and marketing initiatives, and even professional work. Research development begins by collecting raw data, then processing the data to be used for the intended study. Analysis of data helps in interpreting the information, make a decision or answer the study question. With the advent of information technology, it is possible to create a visually appealing presentation depending on the chosen method. However, the chosen method depends on the collected data, the format, and the data set (Kosara, 2016). The data format used helps in capturing and storing information and understanding other aspects of the study. Forms of data can be textual, numerical, pictorial, spatial, and other types of data.

Data presentation and analysis is essential in any study and can be a deal-breaker if done wrongly. It can also assist one to seal a deal if done in the right way. It is essential to use the appropriate data presentation for each situation. Therefore, choosing the right presentation technologies such as graphs, lines, charts, or tables is vital. Charts and graphs require one to understand aspects such as frequency distribution, intervals, and axis labels (Kosara, 2016). For my research paper, I will use graphs to illustrate my study findings.

2. During the 20th century, we have made unmatched technological advances than any other time period throughout human history. These technological advances has brought forth many new ways on collecting data and the analysis of data. There are so many different avenues of data collection to choose from now, that it almost seems impossible to choose one. My chosen research topic is child abuse and the affects it have on children. To develop a well and precise paper I will be using a mix of data collection methods: qualitative and quantitative. As we all know, technology will definitely help me tremendously with collecting my data. Surveys will be my main data collection tool that technology has empowered greatly. Recent developments include computer-assisted self-interviewing (CASI) methods using audio and/or video, automated telephone interviewing systems (interactive voice response), and the World Wide Web. These developments are already having a profound effect on survey data collection (Plageras, Psannis, Stergiou, Wang, & Gupta, 2018)

The advantages that cell phones and social media gives are immeasurable. Now you can put out a survey and have hundreds of thousands of people complete it in minutes of you posting it. It gives so much invaluable wiggle room when data collecting. I am aware that there are many different other types of ways to use these new technological advances, but there are also problems that can arise from it as well. Each new introduced technology enhances and extends the range of possibilities and opportunities for survey research, but also often introduces new challenges and issues for further research. Technology by itself is not inherently good or bad (Plageras et al., 2018). It should be used in moderation as all other data collection types. Never rely solely on way data collection, it gives your research very little credibility.
