An informative speech may focus on general information and provides just the facts, allowing the audience to draw their own conclusions. Informative speech requires you to conduct research on your topic. (You can look in the Handouts section of this page for examples of topics.) Pay particular attention to the suggestions for researching your topic. We must include only facts from your research in your speech.
