Select a research topic of your choice. Your topic must be related to the field of psychology in some way. You may select a topic similar to your previous individual assignments, but you must select different articles. Select five peer-reviewed articles related to your identified topic. These articles must all be empirical research articles. Additionally, all of the articles must not be meta-analyses, reviews, or commentaries. 1) How many people were in the sample?
2) What was the population of interest?
3) What were the research questions?
4) What were the hypotheses?
5) Was the study cross-sectional or longitudinal?
6) Were the hypotheses supported?
7) How would you summarize the results of the article, in two sentences (in your own words)?
Your final assignment submission (which will be due on 11/23) will involve you making an original argument about your topic, based on the results of your selected studies. Your final submission will be an essay that summarizes each study, draws connections between the studies, and attempts to support your argument. You do not need to decide on the argument you want to make for the purposes of this proposal.
