Research Essay (2000 words): "Women and Gender" in the Medieval World
1. You are expected to formulate an argument which answers the question. State your argument in the introduction and conclusion (and refer back to it in the body of the essay).
2. Ensure you do not present a polemical argument. Show awareness of alternative perspectives, and think about how many words you will dedicate to each section: if you think a certain point/theme is particularly important in answering the question/supporting your argument, then you may want to dedicate more words to that section that section than other parts of the essay.
