Individual assignment: Career Development.
You have two options: (1) research a career development topic or (2) prepare a career development plan.
Option 1: Research a topic related to career development. Prepare a document that would be useful advice for your classmates, as if we were going to publish a newsletter or magazine. See the websites referenced below for ideas.
Option 2: For this assignment you may choose yourself as a target of intervention or you may choose to base your plan on a generic job (job holder). Prepare a career development plan. Include skills, resources, activities, etc., needed to progress through a minimum of 3 levels in your career progression. For example, you may wish to progress from an HR Generalist to a Compensation Specialist to a Director of HR. You would include, basically, an action plan for each of these steps.
