Report :
An analysis and evaluation of two enterprises operating globally but based in Australia. The report should identify problems and inefficiencies with the enterprises' procurement, logistics and distribution systems which limit their operational effectiveness. The report should demonstrate an effectively developed procurement strategy and/ or process improvements which address these issues.
TASK 1: Select two Australian organisations for this assessment.
(i) Provide operational background for each organisation.
TASK 2:
You are a student at the Melbourne Polytechnic and working part-time as a global supply chain analyst at both organisations you identified in Task 1. The director of global procurement, logistics and distribution asked you to analyse the status of the organisations' global operations.
Required: An analysis and evaluation of two organisations' global procurement, logistics and distribution and their use of e-business technologies, and recommending improvements to their strategies and processes.
