Question: Repeat Prob. I for a two-dimensional stagnation point and compare with the results of Prob. II. The following results from the momentum equation solution for the stagnation point are needed:

Problem I: For flow along a plate with constant free-stream velocity and constant fluid properties develop a similarity solution for a constant-temperature plate for a fluid with Pr = 0.01. Compare with the approximate results. Note that numerical integration is required.

Problem II: Develop an approximate solution of the energy equation for flow at a two-dimensional stagnation point for a fluid with very low Prandtl number, using the assumption that the thermal boundary layer is very much thicker than the momentum boundary layer. From this, develop an equation for heat transfer at the stagnation point of a circular cylinder in cross flow, in terms of the oncoming velocity and the diameter of the tube.
