Remember to update what the text says to fit the

In this project, you will be creating and posting a link to a 9-panel comic strip that you create using text from the novel.

1) Each student will create a 9-panel comic strip that uses dialog from the novel. The strip must have two characters, and use dialog directly from the novel. To create this strip, you can use any cartoon-creation technology you choose including drawing your own, but the text must be legible and the work must be shared in digital format. For those who do not draw, or are unfamiliar with cartooning programs, you can use PIXTON.COM for free. Go to: https://www.pixton.com When you get there, selecting "advanced" will allow you a LOT more editing options.

2) When your comic strip is complete, please post it (or a working link to it) in the assignment space here. You may add sound to your comic strip, but it is not required.

3) Remember to update what the text says to fit the comic-strip format. In other words, comic strips use "speech bubbles" and do not include narrative explanations like "he said in a soft tone." In other words "'Good Lord!' he cried loudly and then walked away" would just become "GOOD LORD!" in your comic strip.

4) If you choose to, you may create an animated cartoon, but it must have at least 9 verbal exchanges of dialogue (to match the length of a 9-panel cartoon).

5) You may NOT choose a scene from the first 5 chapters of the novel. Please choose a scene from later in the novel (because you HAVE kept up with your reading, and I would like to see evidence of that).
