Remedian: The robust estimator of location which is computed by an iterative process. By assuming that the sample size n can be written as bk where b and k are the integers, the statistic is computed by computing medians of the groups of b observations yielding bk-1 estimates on which the process is iterated and so on until only the single estimate is left.
