Notice how in Gretel in Darkness poem we get to see Grete's perspective on killing the witch from Hansel and Gretel, and in Lot's Wife poem, we get to see the story of Lot told from the eife's perspective. The poets took the liberty to reinvent these fairytales, myths, bible stories, to offer a fresh perspective.
Your assignment is to:
Reinvent a Fairytale or Myth. In other words, take one of the Fairytales or Myths you heard as a child, and change it to make it your own. Either tell the story of what happens in the happily ever after or the not so happily ever after, tell the story from a different character's perspective, or make some other creative change to reinvent the original tale. This can be in the form of a story or a poem, and should be at least 500 words.
