1-Judy Chicago went one step further and used the process of producing art as a way of empowering women. Explain how she tried to achieve this goal. What techniques and philosophy did she use to empower the women who worked with her? Do you think that her studio was a feminist space? Why or why not? (Chicago article)
2-Audre Lorde in her book Sister Outside spoke of the importance of all women working together to achieve freedom. In order to do so, there needs to be a common understanding between privileged white women and ?sister outsiders?. What did she see as the barriers to women achieving this common understanding?
