Discuss the biological origins of intelligence including probable contributors to intelligence (including neural conduction, brain size, etc.). Explain whether or not research has supported a genetic basis for ethnic differences in intelligence and elaborate on the historic Larry P. v. Riles case. Do you think intelligence testing should be administered to all racial/ethnic groups or is there inherent bias in the testing itself? Lastly, identify and expand upon at least one disorder of intelligence (fetal alcohol syndrome, Down syndrome, fragile X syndrome, phenylketonuria, hydrocephalus, etc.).
