Reasons behind lack of training at your current organization


One of the individuals, a partner for a Big 4 firm in Latin America indicated that he has found that since the implementation of SOX many accounting departments have reduced the amount of cross training.

In his particular view he indicated that the reason for this based upon the responses of the companies that he is responsible for are:

- Lack of time from the staff to dedicated to training.

- A fear that the another employee may understand the control environment thereby rendering certain aspects ineffective

- Management's unwillingness to make training a priority.
