2. Read the Wikipedia description of "The Allegory of the Cave" and watch the video representation of this story.
3. Navigate to the threaded discussion below. Scroll up to read the instructions and start a new thread. Post the following:
a. "Reflect on the story and message of this allegory. Fast forward 1500 years into our current time. Share the ways in which television, movies, and internet have become our sources of information and the ways in which we often respond in the same ways as those individuals chained inside the cave".
4. Your initial post is due by the end of the fourth day of the workshop.
5. Read and respond to at least two of your classmates' postings, as well as all follow-up instructor questions directed to you, by the end of the workshop.
6. Your postings should also:
a. Be well developed by providing clear answers with evidence of critical thinking.
b. Your observations should add greater depth to the discussion by introducing new ideas.
c. Provide clarification to classmates' questions and provide insight into the discussion.
d. Be posted on two different days during the workshop.
