Read The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells. Then, listen to the radio play performed by Orson Welles & the Mercury Theatre. The radio play is an adaptation. Now, compare and contrast the two works. What are the major differences? What major parts of the plot did Orson Welles leave out or condense? How are the characters different?
