Then write a response in which you analyze how Johnson uses the rhetorical techniques Connotative diction, repetition, and imagery to persuade his audience to support the Voting Rights Act. My Thesis: President Lyndon B. Johnson applys connotative diction, repetition, and imagery to persuade congress to pass the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
The point of this analysis is to describe what Johnson’s style of writing is and how he used the 3 rhetorical devises to influence his audience (congress).
On the second to last page of “notes on “The American Promise”” included in the attachments is a great example of how my teacher expects the paper to read.
In the “notes” section of my attachments there are many examples of the 3 rhetorical devices the paper is to be written on, but many more are to be used as well please.
