Research Designing
Please read Roger Gould's book "Collision of Will"and design a *realistic* study (page) that would allow you to test Gould's theory--and which addresses the methodological flaw with homicide data.
By realistic, I mean a study that a sociologist with, say, a million dollars, could ethically conduct.
Be as specific as possible: what are your hypotheses, how are you measuring these concepts, who are your participants, etc.
