The five generally abused drugs are: alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, cocaine and heroin. I would like to add up methamphetamine to that list as it has recently become recognized as an important problem. If you had to compare the direct health hazards of these six substances, how would you rank them in order of dangerousness and explain why? Some would state that the harm from drugs cannot be decreased just to the respective number of deaths. You might wish to make a second rank ordering of the psychosocial hazards of these six substances as well.
