Random variable which represents length of time

Let x be the random variable which represents length of time it takes a student to write down a term paper for Eric stats class. After interviewing many students, it was found that x has an approximate normal distribution with mean u=2.3 hrs and standard deviation of =b1.7 hrs ****I asked this question earlier and got an answer but Id like to know how they solved it not just the answer if possible*** Missed class this day so Im lost! Any help explaining how to solve would be GREAT! Thanks.

1) Convert each x intervals into standardized z intervals

a) x < 0.3

b) 2.2

c)x > 1.7

2) Convert each z intervals into raw score x intervals

a) z > -1.2

b) -2 -2.35)

c)z < -1.33

3) For Standard Normal Distribution

a) p (-1.33

b) p (0

c) p (z> -2.35)

d) p (-2.33
