From the diary farm experience, I have seen that Donia Farm operates an interconnected systemproperly, which includes every process in the network. I have learned how does passion strive farmer to promote comfort in order to build a sustainable and committed community. Not only from what the farmers did, painting fences, feeding cows and planting crops, but also they showed their patience and love to every single cow to make sure everything is done right.
To be specific, each staff has different job and takes care of cows in different ages and situations. They colored the calvesthat has disease, gave them some special treats and fed them separately. Donia Farm even has its own nutritionist to regulate the proportion of content and add nutrients in the fodder to meet the cow's needs.Importantly, many farmers gain benefit by interacting and bonding with each other when they are participating in the dairy farm. Moreover, farmer in the dairy farm clean the barn and wash the machinery regularly to make sure the farm stay neat and tidy which also make me, a potential customer, feel comforted to purchase milk.
Also, the dairy farm is committed to producing food with sustainable farming practices. What they surprised me is that they use organic sources of fertilizer to nourish their crops grow, and they also collect every drop of water, storing and using the water in the summer time. In light of this insight, having a more sustainable and energy-saving lifestyle becomes a new goal to me. In my future, I will do my best to reduce the waste as lease as possible, such as using the both sides of paper, shopping in a moderate amount.
With a deeper understanding of milk production, I start to pay more attention on my consumption of dairy products.
