Origin of Daido piles comes from Japan where these prestressed actual piles are used as substitute plies. Holes are preformed in position and Daido piles are located inside these preformed holes with subsequent grouting of void gap between piles and neighbouring ground. Though, in Hong Kong Daido piles are constructed by driving into ground by hammers instead of originally designed replacement means. A fitting means of Daido piles is changed, construction troubles like twisting of pile tip shoes, crushing of concrete at pile tip and so on.
