Part 1

Open a telnet session and create a .plan file using PICO/NANO.  The file should have at least 6 lines of text.  You are free to have any comfortable to the file that you wish.

After you save the file, exit PICO/NANO and enter the following command (make sure you are in your root level)

Part 2

You must use following procedure-

 1.  Login into you UNIX account makes a directory called ENGR in your Public and Private directories,

2.  cd into your Private directory, then cd in the ENGR directory,

3.  Open a PICO/NANO editor window.

4.  Type the answers to the questions in the editor window and save the file in your ENGR private directory under the name [login.one], where login is your login.  For example if I did assignment, my file name would be budny.one.

5.  cd back to your root level,

6.  Copy the file you just created to the ENGR directory in your Public directory, without leaving the root level,

7.  As you complete answers, ftp the file to your PC and open the file in WordPad.  Add you name, your login, your student number and the time of your session to the top of the file.

8.  Ftp the file back to your UNIX account into the Public directory, and then change the file name to [login.txt].

9.  Email the file as an attachment to your TA using; the message in the email has to be here is the file for [your name]. 

 

10. Leave all the files alone and do not touch them until we return assignment.
