As a competent person, you have been asked to advise and assist the site engineer in this risk assessment exercise.

(i) Describe the factors that should be considered while carrying out the risk assessment.

(ii) Show six hazards which are likely to be present on this construction site. For each hazard explain how workers may be harmed and provide the control measures that should be implemented to reduce the risks to a level which is as low as is reasonably practicable.

(iii) List the various circumstances that may require the risk assessment to be reviewed at a later date.

(b) Identify five requirements to make a risk assessment useful in practice.
