question1a siphon tube is filled with gasoline

Question1

A siphon tube is filled with gasoline and closed at each end. One end is inserted into a gasoline tank 0.15 m below a surface. The outlet is placed outside the tank at a distance 0.45 m below the surface. The tube has an inner cross-sectional area of 3.6x 10-4 m2. The density of gasoline is 680 kg/m3. Ignoring viscous effects, what is the velocity of the gasoline in the tube shortly after the tube is opened? Suppose that the diameter of the gas tank is much larger than the diameter of the hose.

Question2

An arrow is shot at the angle of theta = 45 degrees above the horizontal. The arrow hits a tree a horizontal distance D = 220 away, at an identical height above the ground as it were shot. Use g = 9.8 m/s^2 for the magnitude of the acceleration because of gravity.
