Well I am studying for my groundwater and soil class, and came across a part in my textbook which is not described very well. It talks regarding leachate from landfills, however doesn't go in depth regarding what it is, and its effects on groundwater.
As I am studying for my finals now, time is of the essence... can anyone describe to me what leachate from landfills is why it is significant, and its effects on groundwater. Its description in the textbook is quite brief, and not very helpful.
