Q. What is Auto-Ignition Temperature?

Auto-Ignition Temperature (AIT) - The auto-ignition temperature is the temperature at which a product will burn without application of any other form of ignition. The AIT of most petroleum products is between 250°C and 500°C. Use 260°C (AIT for gasoline) as a guide. Also refer to NFPA 325.
