q show the silt curtain touching seabedsilt

Q. Show the Silt curtain touching seabed?

Silt curtains are impermeable vertical barriers extending from seawater surface to their designed depths. Curtains are held in a vertical position by carrier float on their top and a curtain weight at their bottom. A tension cable is designed at carrier float to resist stresses incurred by currents. Furthermore silt curtains are anchored to seabed to hold them in designed configuration.

Essentially the depth of silt curtains must not be so long and touch the seabed since the bottom segment of the silt curtains will be trapped inside newly accumulated sediment, so resulting in the sinking of curtain. It is problematic to remove these sunken curtains. Furthermore reversal tidal and current actions can cause movement of bottom region of curtains that stir up the settled suspensions and create extra turbidity.
