Q. Scope of corrosion assessment design?
The purpose of this guideline is to describe the common corrosion damaging modes and mitigation methods and provides recommended materials for a typical SAGD plant including Well Pad, gathering pipelines and CPF.
Production pipelines, bitumen treatment, produced water de-oiling, water treatment, produced gas processing, VRU, evaporator system and steam generation are the major units covered by this guideline.
The recommended materials listed in this guideline shall be considered as preliminary and shall be subject to revision on a case by case basis.
