Q. Explain list directive in assembly language?

A list directive causes assembler to generate an annotated listing on printer, video screen, disk drive or any combination of the three. An annotated listing displays the text of assembly language programs, numbers of every statement in program and offset associated with every instruction and every datum. The benefits of list directive is that it generates much more informative output.
