Instructions for Final Paper
Objective
Public administrators rely on policy analysis methods to address policy issues at all level of government. Specific methods are frequently used by administrators and analysts to develop sound policy decisions. The goal of this paper is to conduct a policy analysis of a contemporary issue faced by public administrators. An alternative to the policy issue may come in the form of a policy (enacted law or regulation) or a program (short-term or long-term intervention) that are aimed at improving a policy problem.
Requirements
The paper must be in memo format, a minimum of 3 pages (reference page), lines are to be single spaced and words should appear in 12 point Times New Roman font. Your paper should be appropriately cited throughout using APA format. Pay close attention to grammar, spelling and usage, and should include page numbers. Also rely heavily on the course textbook to guide your analysis.
An example of the paper is provided below that includes a title page and the outline of the paper. The outline provided includes subheadings to help the reader and bullets that help to provide points that should be discussed in the paper (bullet points should not be used in the paper).
