c. when they are microinjected into the nucleus accumbens, are always rewarding to animals, particularly if the stimulant is cocaine.

d. have their reinforcing effects effectively blocked by 6-OHDA lesions of the nucleus accumbens.

e. of amphetamine into the nucleus accumbens do not appear to be rewarding to animals, as they will not self-administer the drug.
