Objectives
• Critically examine assessment reviews, catalogues, publishers' websites, and the psychometric properties of standardized assessment tools (e.g., validity, reliability, correlations, norm groups) to inform assessment selection and integration into practice.
• Compare and contrast the use of assessment tools, formats, models, and processes in different counselling settings for a variety of purposes
• Select the results of a variety of formal and informal assessment tools based on client need, program design, quality of the instrument, cost, availability, and counsellor theoretical orientation and qualifications.

Using catalogues, manuals, reviews (see Mental Measurements Yearbook, Test Critiques, and Tests in Print), published empirical research, or any other resource you can locate. The paper should outline your views on what role assessment plays in a counselling setting generally and in the type of setting that you wish to work in specifically.
