Psychologists define personality as "an individual's enduring characteristics that shape attitudes, emotions, and behavior." Personality development can be viewed from biological, environmental, and sociological perspectives.
For this Discussion, you examine different theories that explain how personality develops. You also determine which theory best explains how individuals become the people they are.
Select the personality theory that you believe is best suited to understanding personality development: trait, psychoanalytic, humanistic, behaviorist (social learning).
