As early childhood professionals, we must constantly monitor indoor and outdoor environments to protect children from harm. It is up to us to provide a safe, nurturing, and healthy environment for each child in our care.
In this discussion, we will focus on toy safety. For your initial post, refer to the material in this unit's Readings and Resource from the Consumer Product Safety Commission CPSC Publication 281: For Kids' Sake - Think Toy Safety, and provide your thoughts or additional information on concerns about sharp edges, cords, and strings, propelled objects, electric toys, small parts, loud noises, balloons, infant toys, or buying or storing toys.
