STEP Standard - Writing Standards-Based Objectives and Learning Goals
Throughout your program, you will be required to align all of your lesson plans with content standards. Content standards are the roadmap for student learning and are the foundation for all instructional design and learning outcomes.
Part of the planning process is also to identify overall learning goals for the unit or lesson, as well as the lesson's specific learning objectives.
Goals and objectives should be aligned not only to standards, but also to student pre-assessment data. As you write your lesson plans, you should also practice embedding technology literacy into all learning activities by aligning activities to ISTE standards.
