The medical assistant is responsible for a variety of tasks in a cardiologist's office. They may schedule appointments, take medical histories, measure vital signs, and provide patient education. In a pulmonologist's office, the medical assistant may also administer inhalation therapy, perform pulmonary function testing, and provide patient education on respiratory conditions.
