Scenario:
Matt is a Medical Assisting Student completing his externship at a local clinic. Matt has been rotated through several departments within the clinic and has worked with many different medical assistants during his externship experience. In addition, Matt has noticed that every medical assistant has a different way of performing daily routines and is becoming frustrated. Upon hearing yet another explanation of how to perform a daily routine, Matt tells his preceptor that this is not how he learned the skill, or how others he has followed have performed the same daily routine.
