ASSIGNMENT
1) Pick one of two articles:
a. "Climate of Man" by Elizabeth Kolbert
b. "Tragedy of the Commons" by Garrett Hardin
c. BOTH are available on D2L in the "general resources" module under the "content" tab
2) Read the article
a. Take notes while reading the article
b. Identify key issues discussed in class (e.g. sustainability, relationship between climate and biomes, basic economic concepts and their relationship to population dynamics, environmental justice, biodiversity, sustainable economic, social, and political methods, etc.)
3) Prepare to write an essay outlining these issues
a. Think about how you will organize your thoughts

d. Proofread!!!
4) Essay requirement checklist:
- Provide detailed description of issues identified using either the "Climate of Man" or " Tragedy of the Commons" article
- MS Word document
- 2 Pages Double-Spaced
- Times New Roman Font Size 12

- Print a copy to bring to class for review Tuesday January 31st
- Make necessary changes
- Upload to D2L by Midnight MST Sunday February 5th
