Homework: Credentialing Providers
Provide an executive summary to your team on how to credential providers. You will need to consider the following:
a. Type of provider being credentialed
b. Steps they will go thru to be credentialed
c. Educational background needed
d. Does this provider have an NPI number?
e. State the provider will work in
f. Is there a standard application?
g. Is an onsite visit needed; why or why not
h. Who gets credentialed (list at least 5 specialties)
i. Are all facilities credentialed?
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
a. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
