Writing Assignment Rubric: Balancing the Budget
Top Scores (A-B) - The top scoring students will do the following:
- Provide an essay of at least two well-developed paragraphs that detail at least two benefits of requiring a balanced budget OR detail at least two reasons why the student feels a balanced budget would not be of any benefit. In the second paragraph, the student should detail at least two ways the national debt affects the economy.
Reasons that support the student's opinion must be logical and fully explained and lend support to the student's opinion
