Problem
You are an analyst for the Riverside County Sheriff's Department that is asked to collect intelligence on major incidents or protests that are taking place and/or planned regardless whom is facilitating the protest. You are instructed to utilize all resources possible to aware the department/station of incidents or protests that may take place to deploy all available resources for the security of the community and/or attendees.
In two or more pages, complete the following:
i. Provide a short synopsis of the incident you are researching. Again, make sure it is objective. You are only providing information, not your opinion, (short paragraph).
ii. Would you research any social media platforms to collect intelligence on future protests? If so, which and how would you search to find posts referring to upcoming protests? Think about it.....(hint: how do you search social media)
iii. If you wanted to inquire on crimes that have taken place during the time frame from the day the incident took place to present, how would you find that information? Think about data.....databases.
iv. Would you make any charts, graphs, maps? If so, what would they illustrate?
v. What other research would you conduct and what product would you provide to give your station administration further information?
vi. On your last page, provide a citation/resources page for each website, article, media or any other source utilized.
