An industrial engineer has determined that the proper model for the number of defectives produced per hour in a production process is a Poisson distribution with average value (lambda) of 4.0 units per hour. She wants to simulate the number of defectives that will occur in the next hour of production. A random observation from a uniform on (0,1) distribution is given by 0.47.
