Assignment task: How can I respond my classmate discussion post? This is what the student posted: One of Valencia's college promotional strategies is advertising by the use of direct mail. Valencia uses the pull strategy in this instance by directing heavy advertising efforts toward consumers. Direct mail is best for targeting specific markets like students in high school for example. One disadvantage is its relatively high costs and consumers may reject the ads as junk mail and it must conform to post office regulations. Valencia has mailed a catalog of the programs they have to offer which caught my attention because I was in the process of searching for schools that had to offer business administration. I held on to that information and had gone online to register for classes. Many students and families receive different advertising in the mail from Valencia. Another type of mail advertising that Valencia sends is information about scholarships and FAFSA they have to offer.
